Oh Canada! Day 13

No breakfast this morning...or at least not sit down breakfast. As today we were headed to the USA to do some shopping at the outlets they have there.

We made our way early morning to the car rental outlet where we got our Toyota Corolla for the day. Now I have driven enough in Canada for me to take full reigns of the car and that's exactly what I did for today. Despite the subtle rule differences, I havent managed to kill anyone yet so off we went...USA bound! By the time we hit the road, the peak hour traffic had started to thin out so we had a relatively smooth trip down to the border. One thing I have come to learn from driving in Canada is...when the speed limit is 100 km/hr...to Canadians that means you can drive up to 115km/hr without fear of being caught by the police...apparently you get that amount leniency. But on the freeway to the border...apparently you can drive upwards of 140km/hr!! Now being the foreigner and not wanting to stand out...I had to stick with the norm...so that meant...140km/hr...here i come!! =) And boy did that feel good...although Im going to have trouble coming back to 100km/hr now when Im back in Melbourne.

Anyway we hit the border and luckily the line of cars to cross into the USA was quite short...so in about 10 minutes it was our turn to front up to the checkpoint person. Now this person asks A LOT OF QUESTIONS! I was waiting for the question about my underwear size...but luckily we avoided that...by the way its Large for anyone wanting to buy me a present =P

So once we were into the USA...It all changed! USA flags everywhere...and of course "super-sized" people in abundance! We got to the Shopping outlet we were headed to and it was time to get busy shopping! As I have mentioned before...I love shopping...and that showed in my returns for our hours of shopping...two pairs of jeans, two shirts, sports attire and some gifts were carried back to the car!

Now after that we decided to cruise the mean streets of the USA. And lucky for us we were able to stumble across a Target!

Now you may ask why I went there...well there is a very good reason for that...to stock up on all the chocolate and candy we cant get back home of course =)

After we this we decided before heading back to Toronto, we would do Niagara falls again, but this time from the USA side. Now for those who dont know...Canada have to good view and the US have the mediocre view =)

After some time by the falls, we made the trek back into Canada, with much less questioning than on the way in. As we drove back, we decided that for dinner we were going to do Ribs! Now Im not a big fan of Ribs, but this place was highly recommended to us...so we couldnt leave without giving it a shot. Now im not a big fan of Ribs, but these ribs definitely hit the spot!

After dinner, it was time to head back and return the car. I decided it was then a good time to hit the gym...so an hour and a half later I was all tired and ready for bed...good times =)
