Living the life we are called to

Another great message that we heard a couple weeks back talked about the life we are called to live and I just wanted to share some of the great points that came out of the sermon.

God has incredible dreams on our lives. None of us are here by accident, we all have an amazing purpose. But it is up to us if we are to fulfill that purpose in our lives. This is summed up excellently in Psalm 139:16 where it says -
You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!
Therefore we must never be still, for if we are in a position that we are not seeing any development, then we need to relocate ourselves into a new environment. There are little specifics know about heaven, apart from the fundamental fact that it will be the most amazing place we have ever encountered, but one thing im convinced of is that it will be loud! Therefore we must learn to live large, live loud and live the dream!

God has called us to live large lives, we are no longer bound by our past situations and circumstances. Sin no longer has a stronghold on our lives when we are born again. We are called to live amazing lives, therefore we are not to look at what we dont have, but rather what we do have. For if we keep focusing on the things we dont have, we will miss the amazing things God has in store for our lives. God can make awesome changes in your live if you just let him, as the best is yet to come when you have God in your live!

If people are going to want what we have, then they need to be inspired by us as Christians. They must see how awesome it is to live by God's will. We all have the potential to live large lives, we just have to seize the moment!

Sometimes we feel that we cannot live large lives due to our past, what we have gone through in recent times. But in heaven there are no excuses, we must let go of the past hurts and step into what God calls us to do. Through this God will be able to do great things in our lives! We must remember that God created us for a great purpose, it would be selfish of us then to live a small insignificant life!

In Matthew 14, we see where Jesus is walking on water and when Peter sees this, his response is to ask Jesus if he can do it too! This is the kind of lives we are to live. We are to step out in faith, for God will not put us to shame!

Therefore the four things we have to do to live large, live loud and live the dream...

1) Live Passionately
Can you think of anything good that wasnt the result of passion. The great masterpieces of the world came about because someone had a passion, when people see something that amazes then, it stirs up a passion within them, when people are at an exciting sporting event, they are passionate! We must live a life with passion. For others will be attracted to our lives when we have a passion for Jesus.

2) Live Consistently
God never changes but he is always on the move. This should be applied to our lives as well. The message of God never changes, but the delivery method changes over time. We  must never change our conviction, but we must always be on the move for God. We must live for God in everything we do, not just when others are watching.

3) Live Purposefully
A life without purpose is a waste. We are all created for a purpose and we must live the will of God! Think of any successful, it was able to serve a purpose and its the same with our lives. We are created and called to do amazing things!

4) Live with Perspective
We must keep learning there are different angles to see things from. Just as we continue read the Bible, we will get different perspectives of the same verse, we must life life with perspective. There are different views on everything.

We must remember the great things God has called us to do. We are called to live loud lives with purpose. It says in Psalm 96:3 -
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples
How can we declare His glory to all nations if we are meek and quiet? We need to make some noise and start living the dream. Jesus never called us to just get comfortable and wait for the end to come, actually quite the opposite, as he stated in Matthew 28:19-20 -
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you
This is what Jesus has called us to do. So we must start living the life we are called to...today!

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16

I especially like this post.

I often feel my hands are tied. I want to do a lot of things, but I just can`t. I am often told to arrange for my future enjoyment and not to enjoy my current state. Therefore, I live too much in the future and not in the present.

I want to free myself. I want to live out loud. I want to live passionately. I want to be truly happy from the inside.
